Congo Post Resigned

The Indian Prime Minister (Mr Nehru) today confirmed that the United Nations special representative in the Congo (Mr Rajeshwar Dayai) had resigned from the post the Associated Press reported. It was reported in Leopoldville yesterday that proposals for Mr Dayal’s replacement were being put to Congolese leaders. Mr Nehru said Mr Dayal’s resignation would not affect the Indian policy of supporting United Nations operations in the Congo, said the Associated Press.
