DISPERSAL SALE OF ROMNEY STUD
(N.Z. Press Association) TIMARU, Mav 25. Buyers from North Auckland to Invercargill attended the complete dispersal sale of the Riverslea Romney stud, owned by Mr S. P. Mosley. Levels Valley, in Timaru today. The catalogue comprised 1237 sheep The highest price paid was 105 guineas for a stud sire. ‘'Riverslea” 233-58. It was bought by Mr A. M. Parker, of Waiau. North Canterbury. A three-shear ewe was purchased by A. and F. Murray (Edendale. Southland) for 80guineas. The range of prices was as follows:
One-shear Ewes.—Extra good to 55gns. medium 25 to 30gns. average 7 to 25gns. Two-shear ewes: Extra good 50gns. good 25 to4ogns. medium 15to25gns. average 7 to 15gns. Threeshear ewes: Extra good 80gns. good to 40gns. medium 25gns average 7 to 15gns. Four-shear ewes: Extra good 41gns. good 31gns. medium 15 to 20gns. average 5 to Isgns. Five-shear ewes: specially selected 55gns. extra good 30gns. good 15 to 25gns. ax'erage 5 to 15gns.
Stud Sires.—Specially selected 105gns. good 50 to 70gns. average 20 to 35gns. Stud ram hoggets: specially selected 42} gns. good to 20gns. Flock Ram Hoggets—Extra good llgns. good 8 to Ilgns. medium 6 to Bgns. average 4 to 6gns.
Ewe Hoggets.—Extra good 14 gns. good 8 to lOgns. average 5 to Bgns.
