Smash-And-Grab Raid

Two pads containing about 27 wedding rings, valued about £137, were stolen in a smash-and-grab raid on Ring House, jewellers, 124 Cashel street, early on Sunday morning.

At first it wag thought that nothing had been stolen, and it was not until a check of the contents of the window was made yesterday that the rings were found to be missing. The noise of the shattering glass attracted -the attention of a conetable on his beat, and the thief had time only to snatch the two pads before he ran off. He was ct&sed. but avoided capture.
