Horticultural Society At New Brighton
The 27th annual meeting of the New Brighton Horticultural Society was held recently. There was a good attendence of members.
The annual report and bal-ance-sheet said that the society had a very good year, but had suffered a slight financial loss.
The following officers were elected:
Patron. Mr J. Mathison. M.P., president, Mr D. M. Hill; past president, Mr M. L. Whittington; vice presidents, Messrs H. Helins, W. I. Davy, R. G. Guthrie; honorary secretary, Mrs I. Farquhar; assistant secretary, Mr W. I. Davy; honorary treasurer, Mr R. A. Lowe; committee, Mesdames C, W. Aker, M. George, I. Lock, R. G. Guthrie. Messrs C. W. Aker, D. Turner, C. Triggs, P. Whittington; show marshal, Miss R. Goodland, honorary auditor, Mr A. H. Taylor; honorary solicitor, Mr N. E. Taylor.
