Lamb Easier This Week
(N .2. Press Association) WELLINGTON. May 19. Lamb eased a farthing to halfpenny a Lb on London's Smithfield market this week mainly because there were heavy supplies of meat generally, according to the market information service of the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board. However, there was steady trading in New Zealand lamb, says the report. There were light pitchings of New Zealand mutton. Wethers sold unchanged at 12Jd to 15|d a lb, while ewes were id down at 9Jd to 134 d. New Zealand beef was not quoted. Prices for New Zealand meat, ex hooks Smithfield.
