Big Land Purchase
The application for confirmation by the Maori Land Court for the sale of more than £1.000.000 worth of land and assets of the Puketapu 3A Block Incorporation to the Kauri Timber Company was concluded on Wednesday evening at Taumarunui. Judge G O'Malley said he intended to confirm the purchase. There were, however. certain matters which would have to be considered, but they were not likely to change his decision, be said. The corporation intends to turn from forestry and timber-milling to farming.— (P.A.)
