Conscious Of Safety Belts

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 19.

Two accident . conscious Auckland citizens, the Mayor iMr D. M. Robinson) and the city traffic superintendent <Mr N. A. Lake), are setting out to convince motorists of the value of safety belts. Mr Robinson, who is chairman of the Metropolitan Road Safety Council, has had belts fitted in the City Council's' two Mayoral cars, and Mr Lake is having belts installed in all Traffic Department patrol cars.

Both men have also decided to have them in their own private cars.
