Algerians In Paris Prison
(N Z.P.A -Reuter—Copyright) PARIS. May 18 Ten Algerian insurgents being driven through Fresnes Prison in Paris in a van yesterday produced machineguns and overpowered their warder. But, according to usually reliable sources, the van driver had thwarted the attempted mass gaol-break by driving to the nearest cellblock, where armed warders forced the prisoners to surrender There was no shooting. After 111 b of T.N.T. was stolen from a quarry near Geneva last night, military and police guards were doubled round the villa where Algerian delegates are expected today for Saturday’s peace talks with the French at Evian. A 17-year-old French boy was killed and two persons were injured by a plastic bomb in Bone Eastern Algeria, last night.
