When netting for flounder Mr G. Campbell, of Onerahi, North Auckland, speared a 431 b kingfish with a hayfork in less than sft of water right in front of his home. With one hand on the hayfork handle and the other on the fish's tail he hauled the fighting kingfish to shore. He got aid to carry it up the back to his home. Mr Campbell called for a neighbour to bring a hayfork when he saw the kingfish swimming just outside the net
