Mercedes Adopt Discs

Britishbuilt four-wheel disc brakes are fitted to the 1961 Mercedes-Benz 300SL sports car and frontwheel discs are fitted to the new 220 SE coupe. The cars were shown for the first time with their new brakes at the recent motor show in Geneva. The Fiat firm has also decided to use British disc brakes on all four wheels of its 1500 cabriolet—a semi-luxury car.
