Hairdressers Seek New Award
Assessors representing employers and workers in the hairdressing and tobacconist industry in the Marlborough. Nelson. Westland, and Canterbury industrial districts met in conciliation recently to discuss wages and conditions for a new award in the industry. The Conciliation Commissioner (Mr S. W. Armstrong) presided. Complete agreement was not reached, and the hearing was adjourned to June 6.
