Second Conference
On May 27
The second conference to be organised by the Church of England Lay Readers’ Association in Canterbury will be held on May 27 at St. Mary’s Church, Geraldine.
The chief speaker will be Mr W. A. Pierre, who will give an address on the “Task of the Layman.” The conference will include informal discussions, the celebration of Holy Communion and of Evensong, and general business.
A similar conference was held last year at St. Mary’s Church of England. Merivale, and was opened by the Bishop of Christchurch (the Rt. Rev. A. K. Warren).
