Charged With Bigamy
(N.Z Press Association) AUCKLAND. May 17. Arrested by the police an hour earlier, William Alfred Sheldon, aged 63, retired, appeared before Mr H. H. Thompson. J.P.. in the
Otahuhu Court today on a charge of failing to pay maintenance ordered by the Christchurch Court in favour of his wife on June 13, 1927. nearly 34 years ago. The maintenance officer obtained a remand until Monday next so that full information could be obtained from Christchurch. (Immediately Sheldon left the Court room he was again arrested and charged with bigamy.
