New Surgery To Be Opened

A new surgery and headquarters for the Malvern Farmers’ Veterinary Club will be opened in Deans street. Darfield, on Saturday. When the demand for veterinary services in the district increased, a second veterinary surgeon. Mr D. J. M. Wood, was appointed to assist Mr R. C. Cuming in 1958. A block of two acres in Deans street was purchased on which a residence was built for Mr Cuming as well as a new surgery. There are still two sections in the block and these will be used for future expansion. The new surgery w'as financed, in the main, by members, who have subscribed £2820 to the debenture issue, together with one gift of £50.,
