NURSE MAUDE ASSOCIATION
Shortage Of Labour Caused Difficulty
“The nation - wide labour shortage has caused us great difficulties in all our work, particularly in our ? -ipitals.” said the chrlrman of the Nurse Maude District Nursing Association (Mr L. D. Cotter ill) in bis annual report. The over-all financial situation was satisfactory in view • of the continued increase in labour costs, but it continued to emphasise the vital necessity to the association of financial help from the general public, he said. During the year the association had benefited from several legacies, which were of great importance to its stability and the thanks of the committee was owed to all who had made provision for the association in their wills. “The association now has 571 subscribing members. It is our earnest desire to increase this number, and we ask all members to do their utmost to publicise the work of the association and to attract’ new supporters,” sstd Mr CotterilL
