MIDDELFART 1 Denmark). Charged with a long list of traffic offences, the accused told the Middelfart District Court he was guilty of only one—making sandwiches while driving his vehicle. "You mean you can drive and make sandwiches at the same time,” the Magistrate asked. ‘‘Yes.” the accused replied, “but of course the sandwiches don’t look so good.” He was fined 500 kroner (£l5).
New W.EJU Classes.—The two most recent classes begun by the Workers’ Educational Association in Christchurch the lunchhour course on racial problems and the short planetarium course—are both popular, according to the secretary of the association (Mr Lincoln Efford), who reported that nearly 40 persons were attending the former course and more than 50 the latter.
