Clothing Industry
Sir.—ln “Tlte Press” of May 13 Mr Stockbridge says the quality of clothing in New Zealand compares with that in any other part of the world. Perhaps he has never been in any- other part of the world. One judges the quality of clothing and kindred goods by the price charged. Ask any woman which wool she would rather knit with. British or New Zealand, and compare the costs. Most New Zealand shoes are rubbish and what a price! Women’s coats and dresses, etc, can be had in England for about half the price, and most probably better quality.—Yours, etc.
