New Zealand’s Soccer Team Anounced

WELLINGTON. May 11. The convener of the national soccer selection panel, Mr J. G. Shankle, today announced a New Zealand side which will form the basis of the team for Tests against the English soccer touring team. Players not selected in this New Zealand team had not completely lost the chance of playing in the Tests, Mt Shankie said. To help in the final selection of the New Zealand team, the national selectors hope that the Auckland selector, Mr W. Walsh, will include two Waikato players, the former international centre-half, A. Leong, and the centre-for-ward, B. Dekkers, in his side. The New Zealand team is: Goalkeeper. P. L Whiting < Wellington).
Backs: J. MMdeton (Auckland), P. McFarland (Otago). Halves: J. R. Warrender, captain (Wellington), J. Kemp (Auckland), K. A. Armstrong (Auckland). Forwards: J. D. Bell (Bay of Plenty), J. D.
