Good Young Full-Back

J. Morris, who as full-back for the Nelson College first fifteen last year was the outstanding player in the inter-collegiate Rugby tournament among Christ’s College, Nelson College, Wanganui Collegiate School and Wellington College, has already impressed in his play for the University of Canter-' bury under 20 team this season. Morris has all the qualifications of an outstanding full-back. His handling is almost perfect and his kicking is long and accurate. In his coolness in fielding kicks under pressure he is very reminiscent of B. M. J. Dineen, who was also a brilliant schoolboy footballer. University officials regard Morris as the best full-back prospect the club has had since Dineen began playing for the club in 1955 and consider him as a prospective representative player.
