Tattersails Tickets

Sir. —My hairdresser (presumably on top of commission) gets a “rake-off” of 2s on my 5s “Tatts" ticket, and 3s on a 10s ticket, postage and record work being the same in each instance. Is there a legal or illegal markup on these things?—Yours, etc., FORTY ON. May 3, 1961. [The district officer of the Department of Industries and Commerce (Mr H. F. Larsen) said: “The mark-up on Tattersails tickets is not controlled by any regulation administered by this department.”]
