Judgment To Widow

(N.Z. Press Association) INVERCARGILL. May 9. Mr Justice Haslam in the Invercargill Supreme Court formally entered Judgment Qf^ 16 - 500 general damages. *•131 18s special damages, and costs for Rhona Ashford Lemon. Mrs Lemon, the widow of Samuel George Lemon, who was killed in an accident T e Anau on August 26. 1960, had claimed £2OOOO damages from the AttorneyGeneral. The claim was heard on Friday, when Mr Justice Haslam adjourned it to give the defence counsel (Dr. I. L M Richardson! time to consider the jury’s verdict. Mr I. A. Arthur appeared for the widow. The claim was one of the largest death claims heard in an Invercargill Court.
