Double Success In London

(N.Z. Press Association)

AUCKLAND, May 8.

The distinction of having two books accepted on the same day for publication in London has been achieved by Valerie Grayland, of Awaroa road. Henderson.

News has just been received in Auckland that Robert Hale, Ltd., will publish her mystery novel, “The Dead Men of Eden,” and Blackie and Son will bring out her children’s book, “Two Boys and A Bell.” Both books have New Zealand backgrounds. The mystery novel is set in present-day Auckland while “Two Boys and A Bell” tells of the friendship of a Maori chief's young son and the son of a missionary on a Northland mission station more than 100 years ago. Mrs Grayland has had many short stories published in New Zealand and over, seas.
