WAIKARI COLLIE CLUB’S TRIALS
Excellent Entries For All Events
The Waikari sheep dog trials were held recently in perfect conditions at “Braenyle,” the property of Mr K. D. Anderson. There were 224 actual starters, the majority giving very good performances. Competition was close and Interesting due to the fact that there were local and visiting entries present An interesting feature was that three of the judges gained placlngs tn classes they were not judging and several part judges of these trials were among stake winners. It was very pleasing to note that the young farmers who competed were prominin ent.
The Waikari-Omlhi trial trophies were won with handsome aggregates by N. Briggs. E. Lewis, J. Kennedy. J. Francis, H. Inch and T. Barwell The oldest competitor, W. Grueber, had a successful day also, and the two women competitors. Mesdames Hutton and Kennedy, gave excellent displays.

The H. Inch run-off for heat four district dogs, most points classes 111 and IV, was won by E. Lewis's Lass (2771 points). In the schoolchildren's class, the H. M. Caln Cup was won by Hamish Roxburgh. Other special trophies were won as follows:
