Soccer Sedan Win French Cup

Sedan won the French Football Association Cup for the second time in its history when they beat Nimes 3-1 at Paris, today. Sedan led 1-0 at half-time. WORLD CUP
Scotland beat the Republic of Ireland 3-0 after leading 2-0 at half-time in a World Soccer Cup preliminary match at Dublin today.

Steady Bookings Yesterday
A steady sale of tickets for the association football match between Canterbury and the touring English team, at English Park on June 3. was reported by th? Canterbury Football Association yesterday. Public bookings for the match opened in Christchurch yesterday. Last week preferential bookings were made by clubs, other associations and holders of season tickets. At the close of the first day of public bookings yesterday, it was reported that the stand accommodation was all sold, the enclosure seating half sold, and more than 3000 embankment tickets sold. Soccer Match Incident (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 8. The trainer of the Zealandia soccer team, Mr K. Krammwinkle said today that the Wellington representative soccer player, A. G. Schryvers was not ordered off the field on Saturday, as had been reported, but left of his own accord.
