INVASION OF CUBA
“Another In Six Months”
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) CHICAGO, May 7
The information secretary of the Cuban Democratic Revolutionary Front said last night there would be a new invasion of Cuba by anti. Castro forces, probably within six months.
The official, Dr. Jose Ignacio Rasco, told a press conference in Chicago, however, that differences among various anti-Castro groups would have to be settled before such a landing could be made. The new invasion, he said, would be better prepared than the one which failed last month, and it had to take place soon because the security of the United States and Latin America was at stake, he said. Dr. Rasco blamed last month’s failure in part on inadequate communications which made it impossible for the anti-Castro invaders to keep the Cuban underground fully advised of what was happening.
