The £ lost ground to the Canadian dollar last week, but the United States dollar was steady. Altered telegraphic transfer exchange rates, as advised yesterday bv the Bank of New South Wales, are as follows:
£ New Zealand on— Montreal: buying. 2.7567 dollars (Compared with 2.7607 dollars on Mav 1); selling, 2.7210 dollars (2.7250). Austria: 73.01 schillings (73.02 schillings); 71.53 schillings (71.54 schillings). Belgium: 142.13 francs <14223 francs); 137.60 francs (137.70 francs). Denmark: 19.59 crowns (19.58 crowns': 1821 crowns (unchanged). France: 13.80 francs (13.81 francs); 13.42 francs (13.43 francs). Norway: 20.24 crowns (2023 crowns); 1957 crowns (unchanged). Switzerland: 12.12 franes (12.11 franesi: 11.87 francs (unchanged). Japan: 1015 yen (1014 yen): 992 yen (991 yen).
