Harewood Club To Have New Cup

The Harewood Golf Club will gain a handsome new tiophy through the generosity r.f a former member of the RN.Z.A.F., Mr B. Hunt. The trophy, known as the Harewood Cup. will be handed by the Canterbury Provincial Golf Association to the club. Mr Hunt won the cup in 1944 while stationed at Harewood. He now lives in Dunedin and recently handed the trophy to Mr J. Casserley iKaiapoi), with instructions that it be passed on by the association to the club “without anv tags.” Mr Casserley fulfilled the first part of the task at last night's meeting 01 the association’s management committee.
