Jack Godby To Retire
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) MELBOURNE, May 3. The Melbourne trainer, Jack Gobdy. who prepared Sir Blink for hi* 1958 Caulfield Cup win, will retire from training at the end of the season in July. Godby has been a trainer for 14 years. Before that he rode with some success, winning the 1934 Adelaide Cup on Sir Roseland. Godby, a son of the former successful trainer, Frank Godby, served his apprenticeship with his father at Caulfield.
