HURUNUI SEAT
By-election On June 10
(N.Z. Preu Association) WELLINGTON, May 3. The by-election to fill the vacant Hurunui seat will be held on Saturday, June 10. the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) announced tonight A vacancy has arisen through the death, on April 23, of Mr W. H. Gillespie, who was Minister of Agriculture. The writ for the by-election will be issued by direction of the Governor-General’s Warrant on Monday, May 8. and rolls will close at 6 p.m. on that day. Nominations will close on Friday, May 19.
