Wanganui Rose Bowl Team
A strong team has been selected to represent Marra. watu-Wanganui in the 1961 Freyberg rose bowl golf tournament to be held at Nanier on May 18-20 There are four Wanganui golfers in the team including the former New Zealand representative. B. M. Silk, who will captain the team. The team is: J. Stern (Manawatu), H. R. Carver (Wanganui), B M. Silk (Wanganui), K. J S Smith (Wanganui), J. F. Farley (Wanganui), and G. Cunningham (Manawatu), with A. R Kitto (Wanganui) as reserve.
