SISTER S. JENKIN INDUCTED

Bible Class Field Worker '

Sister Sylvia Jenkin was inducted as the first full-time Presbyterian Bible Class field worker in New Zealand, at a special ceremony held at St. Ninian’s Presbyterian Church. Riccarton, on Sunday evening.

The ceremony was performed by the Moderator of the Christchurch Presbytery (Mr C. C. Wilson). Sister Jenkin was addressed by Sister Margaret Francis. The service was attended by Bible Class members from as far afield as South and MidCanterbury.

At a tea gathering afterwards, a welcome was extended by Mr Wilson, Mr Eric Mangin, president of the Presbyterian Bible Class Union and the Rev.. R. J. Griffiths on behalf of the Presbyterian Christian Education Committee.

Sister Jenkin will work under the Presbyterian Bible Class Union of New Zealand.
