ASSAULTED IN HOTEL BAR
Man Badly Hurt By Accused (N.Z Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 27. Loss of memory, a black eye, and four days in hospital on the seriously ill list were the consequences suffered by a man who went to the help of a woman who was being kicked on the floor of the Albert. Hotel bar by the man she was living with, the prosecutor (Mr A. W. Jeffries) told the Magistrate's Court at Auckland today. The assailant, Brian Ralph Wellington, aged 27, a workman. appeared before Mr W S. Spence, S.M., on three charges—one of assaulting Francis William McMahon, causing him actual bodily harm, and two of stealing £5 and a transistor radio, worth £3O.
Wellington admitted all charges and was remanded for sentence.
