PATRON OPENS SEASON
Presentation Of Trophies It had been ,t good season last year and indications were that there would ba a good season this year, said the patron of the Canterbury Tabla Tennis Association (Mr G. R. Shearman) before ha officially declared the 1961 season open last evening. If everybody supported officials of the association, played table tennis as they should and treated as Incidentals the winning of trophies and championships. it would be a good season, Mr Shearman said. In fact it could possibly be one of the greatest seasons in Canterbury for the greatest sport, he said.
