ANNUAL APPEAL BY C.O.R.S.O.
2600 Collectors In City Tomororw, 2600 young people from Bible classes and Roman Catholic youth groups in Christchurch will call at households in the city and suburb*, collecting money for the annual Do-minion-wide C.0.R.5.0. appeal. The target in the Canterbury district is £25.006, and it ,is hoped to collect £125,000 throughout New Zealand. The money will be used for relief in various parts of the world, including the Middle East. Hong Kong, and Europe. House-to-house collections will also be made in Ashburton. Amberley. Blenheim. Cheviot, Darfleld. Greymouth. Hokitika. Hamner Springs. Havelock. Kaiapoi, Kaikoura, Leeston. Lyttelton, Methven, Picton, Rangiora. Reefton, Rakaia. Ross. Seddon, and Westport. Smaller towns and country districts will be canvassed during the following week by members of women's organisations or the pupils of local schools.
