Cricket Sobers To Play In Adelaide
(N.Z Press Assn.—Copyright > ADELAIDE, April 12. The dynamic West Indian all-rounder, G. Sobers, will, it is said, earn a four-figure salary when he comes to Adelaide this year. Sobers yesterday cabled the South Australian Cricket Association accepting an offer made shortly before he left Australia by the 1960-61 South Australian premier team. Prospect. The Australian Cricket Board of Control’s chairman. Sir Donald Bradman, said: “He is a natural, brilliant, unorthodox and dynamic cricketer. I’m elated that we are to see him here again so soon.” The West Indian fast bowler, W. Hall, has made no decision on the offer by another Adelaide cricket club. Glenelg, that would bring him to Australia next season.
