Education
Sir, —”Agricola” has written about labour camps in the Soviet Union. These charges belong to an era long since
gone. They resemble the queer statements that China killed millions after its change of government. Such argument is the product of misinformed people. Education for many people consists of being able to read, and the columns of some of the daily papers do not always give an objective account of the events in the world. Education Should make people think for themselves after becoming informed from the correct sources. To be able to read without thought is fatal. Otherwise we might just as well go back to our turnips—Yours, etc., April 4. 1961.
