429 Viscounts Sold
Vickers Viscount airliners are now operating in 38 different countries with 48 airlines, six private companies and five Governments and shortly total sales will reach 429. The British Aircraft Corporation has announced a repeat order for three Viscount 810 airliners for AU Nippon Airways. The airline operates two Viscount 744’s on lease pending delivery in a few weeks of its first three Viscount 810’s, which were ordered last year. Lufthansa has decided to order an additional Viscount 810.
