Furnace Blows Back

No damage was done when a furnace in the New Zealand Railways Road Services garage in Durham street blew back and ignited some sawdust. The sawdust was being fed into the boiler when the fire occurred. There were no injuries. Three units of the Christchurch Central Fire Brigade answered the alarm at 2.48 p.m.
