Obituary MR N. V. SMITH
Mr Norman Vivian Smith, a well-known Christchurch advertising agent died yesterday. He was 77. Born in Auckland, Mr Smith came to Christchurch in 1906 and began a calendar business when he was 25 years of age. He was a keen golfer and was this year elected patron of the Avondale Golf Club. On many occasions he was the club’s captain and president Mr Smith was a member of the Summit Road Trust and was once its chairman. He is survived by twc sons ■and a daughter.
