Tomatoes Plentiful
Tomato prices dropped to 3d to 9d a pound in the produce markets yesterday because there was r heavy supply after the mild Easter week-end. Last week’s price was Is Bd a pound. Lettuce prices rose by 2s 6d to 15s Sd a dozen. Prices for best quality cabbages rose from 12s a sack to 15s Bd.
