Salmon Identified

Reports of the capture of small Atlantic salmon in the Lower Clutha, received by the Otago Acclimatisation Society, have proved to be groundless. The fish have subsequently been identified as quinnat salmon. They were identified by Dr. D. Scott, of the University of Otago, after an appeal for specimens, thought to be Atlantic salmon, to be submitted to the society for examination.
