(New Zealand Press Association) GREYMOUTH. April 3. , The autumn meeting of the Greymouth Trotting Club was held today in perfect ‘ weather, on a fast track, and before a smaller ’ crowd than usual. In covering the mile and five furlongs of | the Westland Handicap, in 3min 34sec. , Johnny Thunder equalled the track record set by Onward about seven years ago.

At the end of two furlongs in the Easter Handicap. Guiness was boring in, and his sulky wheels locked with those of the sulky of Diem ar. Rose. In the upset, the hot favourite, Sarona, was badly checked, and lost, about 80 yards. The winning double. Johnny Thunder and Maud Noble, bracketed with Gold Lady, returned £55 2s for £l. On-rourse. the totalisator handled £19.687. including £231? 10s on the double, compared with £22.597 40s on the corresponding day last year. Results:— RIMU HANDICAP.
