HAWERA. April 3. Scottish Light and General John returned a double dividend of £22 9s 6d for £1 on the second day of the Hawera Trotting Club's meeting today. South Island horses made a clean sweep of the first leg of the double, filling the first three places. The weather was fine but cool. The totalisator on-course handled £38.666, compared with £40.534 10s on the second day last year. The total for the two days was £76.487 10s, compared with £77.224 10s last year.
