PARIS VISIT IN MAY
Kennedy’s Plans (N.Z Press Assn.—Copyright) (Rec 11 p.m.) NEW YORK, April 3. President Kennedy would pay a three-day visit to F-ance about May to confer with President de Gaulle, it was reliably reported from Paris today Associated Pres* reported French official circles have been discussing the possi bility of President Kennedy’s visit since Washington re ports to that effect were pub lished last week by the Paris newpaper “France-Soir ” While refusing to give any details of the visit, officials today confirmed that a decision had now been made.
The visit was being greeted as a considerable diplomatic victory for President de Gaulle and a sign of President Kennedy’s respect for France’s World War II hero Official sources said that by the reported date of the Paris vsit. Mr Kennedy would have talked to the British Prime Minister. Mr Macmillan, and to the West German Chancellor. Dr Adenauer.
