SCIENTIFIC INQUIRY

Suggestion By University (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 2. An executive meeting of the University of New Zealand decided to approach the Government and recommend that an overseas scientist of highstanding should be appointed to any committee of inquiry into science in New Zealand. The committee was acting on the suggestion of the ViceChancellor of Victoria (Dr. J. Williams), who said that as the universities were particularly interested in scientific research, the University of New Zealand should approach the Minister on the question.
