MR A. C. CAMERON RETIRING

Long Association With Farmin" c (N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN. April 2. Mr A. C. Cameron, who has been general manager of the Farmers’ Mutual Insurance Association, and the Farm Accounting Association of New Zealand, Ltd., for he last 31 years has retired. Mr Cameron's successor as general manager is Mr S. R. Whyte, who has been a member of the Farmers' Mutual Insurance Association for 35 years, and was Dunedin manager before his appointment as assistant general manager last November. Mr Cameron's retirement ends a long association with rural affairs throughout the South Island. His business career covers a span of 54 years including 19 years with the National Mortgage and Agency Company, Ltd. He was export manager of this company before taking up the position as genera! manager of the Farmers’ Mutual.

Mr Cameron was mainly responsible for forming the Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs in 1934, and was its president for the first four years. He is now grand patron of the federation and a life member.
