FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation.—An anti-cyclone is centred over the western Tasman Sea and a south-westerly airstream covers New Zealand. Forecast:—

Marlborough and Canterbury.—Moderate to fresh south-westerly winds; partly cloudy with a few scattered showers; cool temperatures. Outlook: partly cloudy. Nelson and the West Coast.—Moderate southwest winds, mainly fine, moderate temperatures. Outlook: fine.
