Seven Charged With Rape
(N.Z. Press Association) ROTORUA, March 30. Seven Kinleith millhands ranging in age from 17 to 20 were charged with rape when they appeared before Mr J; L. Whiterow, J.P., in the Magistrate’s Court at Rotorua yesterday. The accused are Benjamin Nicholas, aged 19, Hector Samuels, aged 19, Isaac Atutahi, aged 20, Pere Paul, aged 17, Norman Rapana. aged 20, Harding Leef, aged 19, and John Morris, aged 19. Bail was refused and all were remanded to April 6.
