NX Lamb Prices Steady (NX Pros Association) WELLINGTON, Much 31. Prices for New Zealand lamb were generally steady at London’s Smithfield market thia week, according to the Market Information Service o' the New Zealand Meat P.oducers* Board Light-weights were tn short supply. There was a fair inquiry for light supplies of New Zealand wether mutton at prices from 1 d to IM per lb —a rise of Jd—and ewes up id at lOd to Md per lb. New Zealand g.a.q. ox hinds were quoted at 21jd to 23d, down id, and fores unchanged at 16d per lb. New Zealand g.a.q. cow hinds were 18d and fores 15d per lb. Prices tor New Zealand meat, ex hooks Smithfield, in the week ended March 31, with the variation since the previous week, are quoted as follows:-- ■ -1 ’ -1 ,
EXPORT MEAT Beef Prices Reduced Beef prices are reduced in the latest export meat schedule effective from Monday next G.A.Q. and F.A.Q. beef in all weights is down 10s, while boner beef is 5s down. The altered prices are as follows:
