TRIAL OF ADOLF EICHMANN

Few Witnesses For Defence MUNICH, March 27. Dr. Robert Servatius, the German lawyer defending Adolf Eichmann, is having trouble finding defence witnesses for Eichmann’s trial in Israel next month. according to his assistant, Mr Dieter Wechtenbrueh. Mr Wechtenbrueh said today they had no luck in recruiting witnesses among people who belonged to the Nazi organisations which the Allies declared criminal after World War 11. “In some cases our request has been turned down flat,” Mr Wechtenbrueh said. “Other potential witnesses were not even prepared to make an affidavit in Germany.”
